After The Forum formally proclaimed the Hinterlands as a colony and joined the six city-states of Eorzea, a group of eager scholars decided to venture out of the settlement in search of new knowledge. Having landed upon the marine city-state of Limsa Lominsa, the scholars were in awe at the amount of people that congregated there--all from varying backgrounds with diverse professions.Thus, the Aethereum University was founded. The students of this fine establishment immerse themselves in all kinds of activities in pursuit of knowledge, including extracurricular activities!

In the recent semester, a group of handsome students, each of them being a representative of their course, decided to form a host club in the hopes of attracting more students to their classes! And of course, they are eager to share their affections to souls in need of friendship or companionship. Perhaps you would like to visit them and experience the host club for yourself?

We highly recommend arriving on time, at the start of your chosen timeslot, to get the full experience that the club has to offer.There will be NO extensions should you arrive late for your hosting session.Grace period for your slot to be held will be 15 minutes into the session. Outside of the club's establishment, any RP sessions/friendships made on a personal level are subject to host's discretion and by no means linked to the Club's regulations & responsibilities. We would advise to respect the privacy of each hosts unless agreed upon.Etiquette Within Premises
Loitering/AFK within the premises of the Club on booking day is strictly forbidden.
This is to respect the privacy of our guests identities as well as the immersive experience for the RPs conducted.

Enrollment
Our Club Managers will offer you enrollment when you have booked a session with our Club President.
Simply pay an additional tuition fee of 3m gils on top of the regular hosting fee to claim your Student Passport.
(You may opt to decline to be a student at Aethereum University, and should you change your mind, simply contact our Club Manager to express your interest in enrolling again at any time.)
Your Student ID and Passport will be sent to you by your Club Manager via Discord 2-3 days after your photo is taken.

Graduation

Once you have enrolled at Aethereum University, you will be a student... forever! There is no expiration for the Student ID nor its perks.
Also, for students who have visited all club rooms and completed their Student Passport, a new blank passport will be given for free to be completed all over again for another special gift from our Club Presidents.
There is no need to renew your Student ID or your enrollment and discounts will continue to apply at no extra cost.

Transfer Student

The Student ID and its perks are non-transferrable, and it is bound to only 1 character.
Student perks such as discounts and stamps can only be applied to the character that you registered with and CANNOT be applied when booking for an alt character.
However, you may opt to enroll for a Student ID for as many characters as you would like.
Students may not share or let others use their Student ID for discounts or to collect stamps. You may not let your friend book a host and use your membership discount or to collect a stamp for you.

Personality: Shy, gentle and polite to a fault, Cocoa is easily flustered and highly emotive, often lending him to very cute behaviour; his ears are especially expressive. He is helpful and generous by nature, often bringing what he’s made in his cooking classes to others as his way of thanking them for small kindnesses. He has severe anxiety and is very self-conscious, quick to apologize if he feels he’s made a mistake, even if nobody actually noticed or is bothered and he is easily intimidated; if he gets too upset, his selective mutism kicks in and will progress from stuttering to a loss of his voice, but he’s learned to cope fairly well and tends not to get to that point so easily. Once he has gotten attached to someone, he actually has quite the ‘mothering’ streak to his personality, fussing over their well-being and gently chiding them for not taking proper care of themselves. He strikes as the sort that has seen much trauma but held tightly to his soft heart despite it all...Background: After he first left Skatay, Cocoa made his way to Kugane where he had to learn enough Hingan to get by, though he actually wound up relatively fluent by the time he made enough gil to cross the sea to Eorzea. He knew very little Eorzean Common at the time and after some initial difficulties trying to find work and somewhere to stay, he was helped by a [student/teacher?] from Aethereum who was multilingual, from whom he learned enough Common to manage on his own. Personality: An Auri student with big golden retriever energy. Rex is a warm, enthusiastic person who tries to see the best in everyone. His naivety and wide-eyed wonder at the world often makes him seem much younger than the number of summers he has seen. A sunny smile is rarely far from his face as he wears his emotions on his sleeves and wants everyone to enjoy themselves as much as he is enjoying his life.Background: A new student at the university, Rex was discovered by the Economics Club, which at the time, desperately needed an honest, unassuming president who could handle club logistics and ask as few questions as possible. Always eager to help, he found himself elected as the new club president in spite of having little idea about what the club does. Personality: Often deemed gentle and kind because of his naturally smiling features, people would usually drop their weariness about him which made it easy for him to help people drop their guard around him. Through the years he'd continuously convinced himself that he is undeserving of love and care, it is all a mere facade to protect himself from being hurt, with the loss of his parents, the disappearance of his elder brother and death of his best friend. He no longer feels he deserves to be close to anyone or have someone be in his life anymore.Background: Born of mercenary parentage of Duskwight folk and the lack of nobility, he was often pushed around, bullied and treated badly by other students and the teachers even. His only comfort was books and he'd read countless that he was able to during his tutelage in Ishgard. After all the Libraries were full of ideas – perhaps the most dangerous and powerful of all weapons. He’d continue on for years in Ishgard, from a nobody he worked his way up, having gained his value and holding knowledge in his palms he would eventually even be able to afford his own home. Eventually returning to Ul’dah to repay the old lalafell only to find out that he had succumbed to old age and passed on. With no one in his life anymore, he returned to his studies of Librarianship and Literary Works at the current Aethereum University. Personality: Although patient, he does not hold back in being aggressive when he needs to be. He values his loved ones and would go to their defense when someone would pick on them for whatever reason. He's pretty friendly and casual when conversing, but he still tries to be respectful and polite to people. Being an older brother, he has a strong sense of responsibility and can also be quite petty over little things that do not go according to his preferences or plans. Sometimes, he may also come off as brutally honest, but he means well!Background: Although both him and his sister are adopted, he treats her like his real sibling. He studied in the university in order to have a better future for himself and his little sister. Their adoptive parents are strict with them, and he sought to break himself and his sibling free from their restrictive rules. He found comfort in the arts since he's able to express any of his bottled emotions and stress through it, and he finds taking photos relaxing - especially when he's in snowy areas. His curious nature as a youngster made him try all sorts of things as he's almost always eager to learn everything. Personality: Curious and Eccentric; Choshek is the type to say weird things that can feel random at times (if not all the time). He is honest to a fault, and he loves expressing himself in various ways. He is good at making conversation about everything under the sun, but lacks the deeper knowledge to what relationships are that he will possibly act on his feelings without knowing what it may mean to the receiving party.Background: Choshek origin's are unknown, but what are known is that he is under the guardianship of Abel (Yeux's sister) after she was married off to a noble by her strict parents. He works for her and does all sorts of errands for her in exchange for her sponsoring him to go to university, so he is a very hardworking guy. The young Viera is still learning what it is to be in a proper relationship as growing up he was always on the run and bonds were limited at best when you have to move from place to place.Now in AU, he wants to be able to form lasting friendships and maybe even learn what love is with the help of those around him.Who will be able to show him thus? Personality: One could say that Aaron is a mix of the curious and the incisive, engaging any field of study that catches his fancy with a passion that would oftimes be the reason why his colleagues would find him asleep practically anywhere within University grounds. The lightest of conversations are the quickest way to veer him out of his academic immersions, while those who come to him with their woes and troubles, be it academically or romantically, quickly find themselves a recipient of his sage advice.Within the context of academia, almost anything that transpires within the University walls are a source of wonder and amazement to him, although in recent times he has devoted himself to a much deeper study of Aether and its correlations to one's spirit. Perhaps that in understanding how others think and act as they do, he would glean further insight into how each individual's Aether is shaped by their own experiences and journeys in life.Background: Orphaned by a great fire that struck the Rak'tika Greatwood, Aaron was found as a babe by the pixies of neighboring Il Mheg and thought he would make for a good pet, much like how one would keep a hamster or a kitten. His otherwise gruesome fate was saved by the intervention of they who would become his future mentor, Titania, King of the Pixies. Thus he lived an extraordinary Viera's life - perhaps one could say that he did not exactly live a normal Viera's life - surrounded by magic and wonder, and one that would eventually work both to his benefit and detriment, perpetually exposed to the Faerie Kingdom's enchantments. This would lead to him developing a physiology and traits that no Viera would ever have, such as the capability to sense others' Aether and bear pixie-like physical traits such as markings and their iconic wings, which he endeavors to conceal in the presence of others.Eventually he would leave Titania's tutelage and follow after a friend in the (very) distant shores of Eorzea. Being a literal fish out of water, he has resolved to adapt to the new and vibrant world he found himself in, and there is no better way to get acquainted with his new surroundings by finding a new mentor to teach him the ways of this world.As his circumstances found him standing before the doors of the Aethereum University, he has come to realize that perhaps this world stands to learn much from him just as much as he is eager to learn from it.RP Style: Casual / Light / Heavy / Mirror RP

He likes to spend most of his time reading, and at times gets too invested in the books that he loses the track of time. Despite his bashful nature, he is eager to guide students in their studies and provide a comforting presence for fellow members.Background: Viktus is the only child of a traveling elezen couple who often travel to Othard for business. Growing up in the culture made him very interested and thus his parents provided him with books about the culture. After the liberation of Doma from Garlean rule, Viktus makes frequent visits to aid in its restoration efforts. Personality: As a student, Kyrix is an individual that could be described as three parts curious and seven parts impulse. Not one to let conventional, best practices stand in his way, the aspiring alchemist is often found looming enthusiastically over a cauldron rather than poring over written literature. However, outside of academia, Kyrix is a reliable and steady presence that is always ready to offer a helping hand...while throwing in sprinkles of puns and jokes every now and then.Background: Born and raised in the Himaa tribe of the Steppe, Kyrix differed from most of his brethren. Without a twin, a mirror to his soul, Kyrix chose to believe that he was granted the privilege of choice and a life where participation of conflict and strife. Yet at the same time, he was determined to play his part within the tribe, albeit in ways different from what was conventional.Ever the inquisitive person, Kyrix started out with resources that were available to him - herbs and minerals, scavenged and traded. Limited to only the old wives' tales and knowledge from one healer to another. Despite his humble beginnings, it seemed unlikely that the Xaela would ever leave his homeland. Yet his aptitude was not missed by those with a keen eye, a mysterious, rich merchant deciding to sponsor him to further his studies in his craft at Aethereum after Kyrix saved the poor man's life from being poisoned to death with a...questionable elixir.And thus began his time at Aethereum, where he continues his unorthodox research through less than conservative means.RP Style: Semi-lit/para. Personality: Mafuyu is actually pretty dense. Due to this, he doesn’t realize that students are flirting with him and replies in a really logical manner, much to the frustration of others. One of his weaknesses is actually desserts, especially the rolanberry pie from one of the bakeries near the academy. If you need a favor from him, all you need is to do is get that pie for him, and he will help you with everything.He can’t deal with numbers, so he tends to escape from math lessons and lay down in the field, looking at the sky or hide in the library to read up on astrology and the history and lore of the Twelve.Background: Mafuyu was born in Limsa Lominsa, to a fisherman family. Mafuyu developed a keen intellect from an early age. His insatiable curiosity and natural aptitude for magicks has led his parents to send him to Ul’dah to learn the arts of thaumaturgy instead of having him inherit his father’s business, heading down the path of a fisherman. During this time, he honed his skills under Master Cocobuki, applying logical frameworks to complex problems.Driven by a desire to learn beyond the arts of black magicks, Master Cocobuki recommended him to apply for Aethereum University back in his hometown, Limsa Lominsa. On his first day of Aethereum University, there were a variety of magick-related classes present, but what interested him were the divine arts of reading the stars, astrology, and how the stars can foretell and affect destiny.During his time in Aethereum University, he joined the Astrology Club and treated all of its members as his family. If any of his clubmates get bullied, he will protect them fiercely as he remembers how his siblings were bullied in the past. Personality: Artorias is an affable and honest individual who enthusiastically pursues knowledge and comprehension of anything that piques his interest, including the people he encounters. Having traveled extensively in the past, he has developed a deep appreciation for hearing stories, be they mundane accounts of daily life or thrilling tales of exploration. He possesses a sharp intuition for identifying issues and offers sound advice in most situations, although he often disregards his own problems.Background: Artorias was born as the second son of a Viera/Miqo’te couple on a small island near Sharlayan. Growing up on the island, he enjoyed a happy and peaceful childhood. However, on his twelfth name day, Artorias stowed away on a merchant ship in search of grand adventure, despite having no money to his name. This reckless decision almost led to him being sold into slavery, but he was rescued by a traveling healer who offered to take him on as her apprentice. From that point on, Artorias and his mentor traveled together, learning the ways of healing and discovering new lands and cultures.Artorias' life took a turn for the worse during the Seven Umbral Calamity when he lost his mentor. Despite this tragedy, Artorias continued on as a traveling healer, not for long before he fell in love with a local girl and eventually settled down in a small village in Shishu-Hingashi where he took up the trade of goldsmiths. However, he was struck by another tragedy when he lost both his wife and child during childbirth, causing him to become consumed by work to cope with his loss.In the present day, Artorias has moved to the city, hoping to leave his painful past behind and expand his horizons. Personality: Akara is shy at first, but as you get to know him, you will be surprised. He was friendly and chatty once you got him to open up. With a sense of creative thoughts, he is always looking for things to inspire him.Background: It was unknown which forest he had left, but he resolved to stay in Gridania for the remainder of his visit, eager to learn more about the world beyond his former home. Regardless of how the color pink made him stand out, he is always fascinated about what can be built, crafted, or, better yet, something new to find. His purpose in his hunt for inspiration is to visit different places and study how people operate, which is why he is now in charge of marketing.
